Craft Fuseknit Comfort Turtleneck Base Layer Review

Craft Fuseknit Comfort Turtleneck Base Layer

What they say: Offers extra protection on your frosty adventures.

What we say: This uses a polyester, polyamide, elastane mix to do the insulating/wicking thing and while it performs perfectly well in both these capacities, this lacks the thickness and luxurious feel of others we’ve tested. But then this isn’t simply a winter base layer. Yes, it’s got long sleeves. And, yes, it’s got a high collar that can be worn up over your ears and mouth – complete with a perforated panel to breathe through.

But with the right layering, this could just as easily be worn in autumn and spring as it could in winter. Elegant flatlock stitching keeps chafing at bay, while an elasticated cuff keeps cold air out. Available in sizes S-XXL, as well as four different colorways including claret red, steel blue, navy blue, and grey.

Conclusion: Not as chunky as most winter base layers, but this is versatile enough for three-season wear.
