What they say: Backpack and office bag in one piece.
What we say: If you’re in the market for a more slimline offering, then the EVOC’s waterproof Commuter Backpack might be right up your boulevard. With an 18-litre capacity, it may not offer the same amount of space as others here, but for features which help you keep your kit organized, it’s tough to beat.
Inside you’ll find a veritable smorgasbord of pockets to organize work and every-day commuter items including a padded sleeve for a 17 inch laptop, a dedicated tablet pouch, ones for pens, ones with Velcro-fastened flaps for small items, plus a zipped one for valuables.
Externally, there’s a further A4-sized zipped pocket on the front of the pack and a reinforced base panel. Weighing 1kg, on the bike it proved comfortable and secure. It’s kept in place by adjustable shoulder straps and away from the back via six mesh-covered foam pads.
There are two carry handles, one on top and one on the side. You can even remove the backpack straps and stow them for a bag that you could swagger confidently into any boardroom with.
Conclusion: A handsome bag that scores well for its plethora of pockets and pouches.
