What we say: With its Total Comfort bibshort Sportful has laid its intentions out and in so doing nailed the aim of this test. A three density pad, the thickest part is 18 mm and is fully perforated to help moisture management. Each side panel is also well-ventilated thanks to a high-stretch mesh, while the rest of the short is made of a more compressive yet super-thin fabric that holds the pad in place.
Its slightly smaller cut gives away its Italian heritage yet the range is wide enough (with seven size options) to allow everyone to enjoy them. Compressive fabric, smaller cut and minimal straps mean you’ll want to take time to get into them but once on they’ll feel like a second skin.
Conclusion: With plenty of pow for your pound, it’s hard to look past the excellent Total Comfort shorts.
