Triban RC 500 Cycling Jersey Review

Triban RC 500 Cycling Jersey.

What they say: This comfortable and well-ventilated short-sleeved Triban cycling jersey is perfect for hot-weather rides.

What we say: French Sports store giant Decathlon reappraised its cycling offering last year and a total refresh is now in full swing. Its in-house B’Twin brand is to be phased out with new marques dedicated to different types of cycling replacing them over time.

Its road cycling products were the first to undergo a makeover, and late last year we witnessed the launch of the Triban brand when Decathlon started selling two new bikes under that name, the Triban RC 520 and Triban RC 500. This jersey shares the same name as the cheaper of those two bikes, and like its namesake offers astonishing value for money.

It’s almost unthinkable that a cycling jersey that costs 30 quid can be any good, but by employing economies of scale, Decathlon has managed to create just that. Made from a lightweight polyester mix with mesh material used under the arms to aid with moisture control, this also has a full-length zip at the front to aid breathability and six rear pockets including a secure one for valuables. Comes in a wealth of color ways and sizes S-XXL.

Conclusion: Offering good levels of comfort and a great range of features, this is ideal for those on a tight budget.
