What we say: In keeping with Ritchey’s engineering prowess, the Skyline has taken a slightly different approach to carbon-fiber rails, by creating them in a more rounded format, 8 mm wide by 8.5 mm high.

The rear mount for the rails is an indirect one, they sit in a leaf spring arrangement that, like the rest of the base, is a nylon/carbon mix. Ritchey calls this the Vector Wing, and it further aids comfort. Weighing 212 g, it’s heavier than some here but still relatively light.

Conclusion: Subtle, elegant and smart, there is much to love about the WCS Skyline.
