San Marco Shortfit Carbon FX Saddle Review

San Marco Shortfit Carbon FX Saddle

What they say: The all-new ShortFit saddle was created to meet the needs of the most demanding cyclists who prefer fixed and aggressive positions on the bike.

What we say: This San Marco saddle has a notably different profile, which some will find ideal. Whereas most are fiat front to rear – or perhaps have a slight rise at the back-the Shortfit is wave-shaped, so high at the front and rear, and is therefore recommended for racy types with greater flexibility in the upper body and can ride a lower bar height.

Available in two widths, this wider option measures 145 mm yet still only weighs 139 grams. It definitely lives up to its ‘Shortfit’ name, as it measures just 250 mm end to end. The 7 mm by 9.8 mm carbon rails have an interesting X shape node at the front to improve performance.

Conclusion: If it suits your style, the Shortfit could well be the saddle you’ve long been looking for.
