Thule 598 Pro Ride – Roof Rack Review

Thule 598 Pro Ride – Roof Rack.

What they say: Upright bike rack for the quickest, most convenient mounting -for bikes up to 20kg.

What we say: When you get into the details of Thule’s range, it’s easy to see why they are number one. Designed specifically with the company’s own roof bars in mind (an adaptor is necessary for other brands), the 598 uses the ’T-track’ system to give a quick and secure mounting to the vehicle.

Offering a minimal profile when it’s bikeless, it has a pair of slim wheel trays with a diagonal strap for each one. The arm’s angle is adjustable and has a ‘ground level’, torque-sensitive adjuster along with deep, crushable rubber grippers to hold your frame safely- although a carbon-frame protector kit is still recommended. A metal lock and pair of keys is provided so you can secure your bike to the rack and roof bars.

Conclusion: A well-thought-through solution that appears to have every angle covered.
