What they say: From the tangle-free fabric cable to the lightweight adjustable loops that keep the earbuds in place freedom of movement, freedom of listening.
Fitting/use: These slot into your ear canals byway of shallow hard plastic fittings like those you find on Apple Airbuds. They’re not particularly comfortable to wear, but more of an issue for us was the fact that the earbuds struggled to stay in place.
In fact, we found that even a moderate amount of movement resulted in them either requiring regular adjustment or falling out altogether. Controlling volume etc. is all done via one button on the front.
Sound: Despite our misgivings about how these fit, there’s clearly not much wrong with what’s going on under the hood. Sound quality is exceptionally crisp and rich.
Battery life: Topped up via a supplied USB cable, an impressive 12 hours per charge is arguably the Jakan’s stand-out feature.
Other features: Available in either beige, black, blue, green, grey, pink or red, these have snap- together magnets in each bud so you can wear them around your neck when you’re not using them.
Conclusion: Good for a commute perhaps – where you’re sitting still on public transport-but not a bike.
