Cygolite Dash Pro 450 Front Light Review

Cygolite Dash Pro 450 Front Light

What They Say:

Hit the road anytime with the Dash Pro 450 – the sleek, versatile USB- rechargeable headlight firing 450 lumens of light through an Enhanced Cycling Optic™.

What We Say:

We like this a lot. With a claimed output of 450 lumens, it blares out plenty of light and is ideal for getting you seen whether you’re cycling in the city or the suburbs, even it it’s perhaps not quite powerful enough for seeing your way on dark country lanes.

At 101g, it’s a bit of a bulky boy but on the plus side feels solidly made and, we thought, was a well-designed, rather handsome-looking thing.

The additional row of mini lights above the main beam provide a great variety of lighting options.

In fact, there are seven modes altogether including four for night time rides and three for daytime when you need to get noticed in murky weather. At night-time you have a choice of a high, medium or low steady pulse and, of course, a constant beam.

Burn times range from 1 hour 15 minutes to a whopping 70 hours depending on the mode, with the built-in battery rechargeable via USB. Attaches to your handlebar easily enough via a rubber strap, and can just as easily be worn as an additional helmet-mounted light.

Verdict: 7.5/10

Cygolite Dash Pro 450 Front Light

A robust, water resistant option that particularly suits commuters with its range of day/night modes.
