Endura Pro SL Primaloft Sock – Winter Socks Review

Endura Pro SL Primaloft Sock Winter Socks

What they say: Indulgent cold weather insulation.

What we say: Made from Primaloft, the same military-grade material as the Castelli socks (see previous page), other materials have also been added to the mix, notably silk which makes up 10% of the yarn, which gives these a distinctly luxurious feel. Not that the silk has been added simply as an indulgence. Although not as effective an insulator as wool (the other main material in the Castelli socks), it is highly breathable so these lightweight, sumptuous-feeling socks do a great job of wicking away moisture.

As you’d expect from Scottish firm Endura, a lot of thought has been put into ensuring your feet stay warm as well as dry, with extra Terry cloth padding around the toe and metatarsal area-in other words the extremities of your foot that are the first to be deprived of warming blood flow in cold weather, while a longer cuff adds further insulation. A elasticated arch support provides additional comfort.

Available in sizes S-M and L-XL.

Conclusion

Keeps warmth in and moisture out while providing a comfortable fit-all in a lightweight, and stylish package.
