Gore 1985 Gore-Tex Shakedry Jacket Review

Gore 1985 Gore-Tex Shakedry

Gore continues to be a name synonymous with innovation in the bike-clothing industry and its latest offering is both forward and rearward looking at once. Let us explain. As the name suggests, this is a retro, 80s-styled garment but is also made with the company’s latest innovation, Shakedry.

This is a permanent beading surface that means water doesn’t soak into the fabric but rolls off the outside. Naturally it still features a Gore-Tex breathable membrane in the fabric laminate.

Easily foldable, it’ll certainly fit in your average jersey pocket and may leave a little room, too. There’s a zipped rear pocket that doubles as a stowage bag and an adjustable collar, all of which comes in a 151g package and five well-proportioned size options.

Verdict: 8/10

Innovative fabrics and a good fit make this an excellent choice, if not the cheapest.
