Gore M Base Layer Long-Sleeve Shirt Review

Gore M Base Layer Long-Sleeve Shirt

What they say: This classic and best-selling base layer feels like a second skin. Quickly moving moisture away from your skin will help you to stay comfortable and dry in all weather, keeping you warm in the winter and cooler in the summer.

What we say: This is by far and away the slenderest of offerings here. A true featherweight, the main fabric is a polypropylene/elastane/Polyamide mix that is almost see-through in places.

Cut is definitely geared towards performance, but Gore isn’t kidding with that claim of this being like a second skin. But although its fit is spray-on close, there is plenty of give in this garment, so much so that you quickly forget you’re wearing it.

It does an impeccable job of keeping you dry, too, due no doubt in part to the fineness of the material used with sweat never given a chance to linger. Flat-lock seams ensure further comfort, while UV protection is also a claimed benefit. Available in either white or black, in sizes S-XXL.

Conclusion: It’s slim fitting but allows plenty of movement. Good for hard training sessions in most conditions.
