What They Say: The Kalf Merino Neckwarmer is made from a soft merino/ polyester blend to keep the cold out and the warmth in. It’s designed with a deep neck that can be tucked into your jersey for chest protection and has an elasticated hem to hold to your chin and face.
What We Say: Made from 50% polyester 50% merino wool this provides decent levels of snugness and breathability. The elasticated band that it clings to your face with is a little less forgiving than some of the more expensive neckwarmers here, but that could just be down to our tester’s ruddy great bonce.
Once positioned, however, this stays resolutely in place while still being easily adjustable with one hand, and its extra length is a bonus, providing good coverage. For subzero temperatures, there may be better options, but we found this held up well in temperatures of 6°C and above. Available in this rather stylish mauve or a more traditional black.
A good lightweight option, available for just under a tenner at the time of writing – making it a bit of a bargain!
