Bringing a different take to the water-resistant jacket is the 310g Storm plus from Pactimo. First off, it doesn’t have full-length sleeves, yet its designers say it’s for temperatures from 5-15°C- presumably depending how hot or cold blooded you are.
The jacket is made of a medium thickness, brushed-fleece fabric that’s been treated with a durable water- repellent coating that sees rain bead up on the surface and roll off. At the back, three reasonable sized pockets are constructed from a three-layer laminate fabric and then covered with a storm flap.
Made of a highly stretchable fabric, it’s cut for a close ‘no flap’ fit. Pactimo suggests you team it up with the Storm+ arm warmers, which is what we’ve done here.
Verdict: 7/10
More like a waterproof jersey, but with good thermal and water-resistant properties.
