Pearl Izumi promise a wide operating window for this waterproof jacket, stating that it is designed for use in temperatures ranging from 10-20°C. Constructed using a 2.5-layer waterproof and windproof fabric, it also features taped seams to prevent water ingress.
Relatively thin and lightweight at 189g, it has a stripped-down construction, which means no pockets. On the plus side, this keeps it slimline enough that it’ll pack down to fit into a pocket easily should your ride dry up.
We reckon it would still work well in single-digit temperatures as long as you add the necessary thermal layers and thanks to the cut, which is described as semi-form fitting, that should be quite possible; it’s available in six sizes.
Lightweight, keeps the rain out well and is versatile enough for a wide range of conditions.
