Available in five sizes from small to double XL, our large came up well with a touch more room in the body and length than is typical. Contrary to its shell-like look and feel, the Guard 3 actually features a highly stretchable fabric for the main panels.
It’s both breathable and hydrophilic so aims to draw perspiration through to evaporate outside the jacket. This combined with thermally bonded seams and a waterproof zipper means Santini are confident enough to say no water will get through even after hours in the rain.
Constructed with a polyamide and spandex stretch fabric, as long as you choose the correct size, it will provide a close fit to reduce wind flap and therefore drag. Weighing in at just 229g, we were excited to find it includes a zipped rear pocket for valuables too, adding to its versatility and convenience.
A good performance-oriented jacket for hard, fast riding even in heavy rain.
